BCWMH Fanfic: It's You From the Start 15

hello everyone! anyone present? still there? i am really sorry for updating so late, the writer in me really sucks! anyway, hope you'll enjoy my short update... thankie! :)


Good morning! :)

Maya smiled seeing the text message on her phone first thing in the morning.  Just the night before they are like silly teenagers swaying along the music of their hearts with their arms wrapped around each other, they were both chuckling and giggling dancing together.  Not long after they stopped dancing, Richard suggested to call it a night so Maya can rest.  Holding hands, Richard walked Maya to her room, then said goodnight after pressing his lips on her forehead.

Still feeling light headed on how her yesterday ended, she jumped off her bed to freshen up on her bathroom, grinning on the idea of greeting him "Good morning" in person.

Clad in a comfortable sleeveless top and cullottes with her flipflops, Maya stride down to the dining area.

Good mor--- 

May stopped mid-sentence, seeing only Sabel , who seems to be going somewhere, and her mom seated by the dining table.  There is only one extra plate placed on her usual spot.

Richard is not joining for breakfast. She thought. Where is he?

The two occupants in the dining area noticed how Maya's mood tone down and discreetly looked at each other smiling meaningfully.

Good morning Maya girl! Sabel greeted.

Good morning Sabel! Good morning Mom!

Good morning, anak.  Come, join me, halos, kaka-start ko pa lang naman.Mommy Tessie said as Maya gave her a kiss on the cheek then took the seat next to her.

How about you Sabel? Bakit hindi ka muna sumabay sa amin magbreakfast at makapagkwentuhan na rin. Maya offerred to their longtime kasambahay.

Naku Maya girl, next time na lang, baka hinihintay na nila ako eh.

Sinong nila? Maya asked.

Huh? Yung.. Ano...

Naku, anak, sa dami ng suki nyan sa palengke, malamang nakaabang na ang mga yun.

Sabel can only bit her lip and feel relieved after being saved.

Really? O ano pa hinihintay mo, baka naiinip na mga fans mo dun.  Maya said chuckling, teasing Sabel.

Sige, maiwan ko na kayo dyan. Maya started eating oblivious of the thumbs up sign her mom gave Sabel as the latter walk past behind her.


Maya, kelan pala ang balik mo ng Manila, well of course, I love having you here with me but I also know that you have work in Manila.

I am not sure, Mom, well... Emman and I still have few days break since we are asked to cover for an urgent fllights... so.. I am not sure.  Maya answered.  Well, that's the truht, biglaan ang uwi nya and now she's not even sure what will happen next between her and Richard, she doesn't even know where he is, did he go back to Manila without telling her?

Mommy Tessie watched her daughter went still and contemplating after answering her question.  Maya's washing the dishes, with her back facing her mom but Mommy Tessie knows very well that her daughter is wearing that confused and forlorn expression.

Lino, kumusta? Ayos na ba?

Oo naman, sisiw lang ito.  Kinalat ko ng maganda. Yung mga prutas?

Eto na, syempre naman, fresh na fresh.  Nasan ang bida natin? Sabel asked looking around.

Nag-freshen up lang sa office ni dean.

O sige, ako na maghihintay sa kanya, prepare ko na din itong prutas.  Sunduin mo na sila, baka matrapik ka pa dyan sa may kabilang block. Nagliligpit pa lang yung sa night market eh.

Maya is checking herself in the mirror, she tied her hair on one side, resting on her shoulder.  She decided to wear a dress that flowing freely from her midriff to her knee, yun na lang medyo bagay na isuot since she might meet some officials from the university. 

Earlier, when she finished washing the dishes, she found her mom in the garden.  She is just in time finished talking on the phone with someone when she got near her.

Anak, we will have an emergency meeting at the university, why don't you go with me, tagal ka na rin hindi nakapasyal dun di ba?

Ok mom, i won't do anything din naman dito, and baka matagalan pa si Sabel sa palengke. And I don't think Richard is still here. Maya silently sighed.

Yes, and tamang-tama your favorite place in the university is in full bloom.  Mommy Tessie answered excitedly as they go upstairs to dress up, overlooking the sad face of her daughter.

After almost an hour,  Maya went out of her room as her mom emerged from hers.

Lino, salamat sa pagsundo at paghatid.

No problem po Dean.

After they have entered the gate...

O anak, you know your way.  I need to go meet the others in my office.  I will just text you later if we are going home na.

Okay Mom, don't worry about me.  Look! I have a good book with me, just like the old times.  Maya said. It's been her old habit to just stay at the flower garden reading her books or novels, while waiting for her mom whenever she's on vacation when she was still in college.  She can drown herself reading forgetting about time, and her mom has to fetch her everytime.

Mommy Tessie just nod giggling, knowing very well what awaits in the flower garden for her daughter.

When Maya has turned at the back of the auditorium leading to the flower garden.  Sabel emerged from the guard house, giggling, then together with Mommy Tessie went out the gate where Lino is waiting for them to take them back to the dela Rosa home.

BCWMH Fanfic: It's You From the Start 14

hello! anyone still interested in my story? sorry, it took me eternity to write again. let me say hello to lhay garcia, RaxMyWorld, viennastar, and tinkerbell. :)  here's a short update, enjoy reading! JoChard is L-O-V-E! <3



She feels so sad and empty, her dad is gone; and seeing her mom crying and struggling to stand, leaning on some relatives, she's feeling so helpless on how they will go on with their life.  She's feeling so vulnerable, when suddenly she feels like someone is looking at her, she slowly look around until she saw what it seems like three people under the tree who seemed like looking at her.  She suddenly felt calmness as she stared blankly at the tree, then she shifted to the people underneath figuring out who they are...


Aren't we going to bring her to the hospital? A familiar masculine voice says.

She seems to okay, I think he's just exhausted. No need to worry too much, Richard. It's her Mom's voice.

But wait! ...Richard?!?

She creased her forehead and tried to fight her sleepiness as she opened her eyes.

Maya, anak, you're awake?  How are you feeling?

Maya, thank God! Do you want us to take you to the hospital?

Maya looked around and tried to sit up, she's inside her room and her mom and Richard are there, seemed like waiting for her to wake up.  She hugged her mom and then turned to Richard.

What are you doing here? She asked coldly.

Maya... Her mom tried to reprimand her.

Richard tried to smile, I am glad you are okay.  I'll just get you a glass of water.  He slowly left her room, sadness all over his face.

Maya felt a little guilty but it was quickly replaced by the hurt and feeling of betrayal that she felt that morning.

She leaned on her mom's shoulder silently and her mom hugged her.  A few minutes later, Sabel knocked to bring the glass of water.

With all the mixed emotions, and all the questions on her head and now feeling a little disappointed that Sabel was the one to bring the water, the tears started to run down her cheeks again.

Her mom urged her to drink water, then lovingly hold her face.  Let's talk about it?

Maya just nod.

Richard is silently sitting in the veranda of the dela Rosa's home, he's toying with his cellphone, battling with himself if he should send Maya a message.  Maya's mom earlier insisted that he stays for the night, so he cancelled his hotel reservation.

When Maya woke up earlier, he saw through her face how he hurt her, and it's breaking him now thinking that he has hurt her, he thought he did the best thing, he thought he won't hurt her, but in the end things seemed ended the other way around.  He is now afraid that she won't forgive him...

He loves her, and he has decided to do everything to earn back the trust that she has given him in the past few weeks.  Maya did not join them during dinner, Sabel just bring her food in her room. He is hoping that her mom is right.  Over dinner, Mommy Tessie assured him that Maya understands everything, and things will be okay, things will be back to where it was before that day.

He started typing a message on his phone... when a cup of coffee landed on the table.

He looked up to see Maya pulling a chair and sitting across him holding a cup of coffee of her own.  She silently put her coffee on the table, clasped her hands and shifted her gaze to him. He looked back at her, trying to decipher the emotion on her face. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw her offered him a small smile.

Sorry. They said at the the same time.

Richard shook his head.  No, Maya. I should be the one saying sorry.  Sorry for hurting you, sorry for making you cry after your tiring flight... sorry, I am really sorry for causing you this... sorry for...

Richard, I am okay, it's all over.  You don't have to say sorry... I know everything now... Maya reached out for his hand, and gave it a little squeeze as an assurance that things are okay between them.

Richard took her hand and pressed it onto his lips as he closed his eyes seeking comfort on their physical contact.  May tugged her hand from his hold as she wiped a tear from his cheek that he did not realize run down.  He smiled at her and mouthed "thank you".

The two sat in the veranda in silence glancing and offering smile to one another as they sip their coffee.

Richard broke their silence as he said sorry again, which earned him a chuckle from Maya.

I already said, okay na, stop saying sorry.

Okay. Richard sheepishly replied.

After few minutes, Maya decided to ask what has been bothering her since she and her mom finished talking earlier.

Richard, why did you not tell me much earlier?  It's been few weeks and I guess there have been chances that you can tell me about all this.

Richard pressed his lips, gave her a small smile before he started speaking.  I am too afraid to lose you.  I want some assurance for myself that I won't lose you again.  I actually did not recognize you when we met in Batangas, it was during my meeting with Ms Belmonte that she mentioned your complete name in passing, that my heart skip a beat.  Right there and there, I wanted to take things smoothly, I can't afford to go wrong and push you away.  I needed to find your mom first, I guess I wanted someone to back me up, someone to be with me when I talk to you.  I have no idea what you know about your Dad's accident.

I am hoping to make things perfect, but it turned out differently, I cheated by not telling you who really am I from the beginning.  I waited too long to see you again and I don't want to mess up this chance. Sorry, if I betrayed your trust, but Maya, please believe me when I said, I  love you.  I really do, you are the only one I fell for and I mean it.

Maya had to gulp her coffee hearing his confession, hearing it the first time over the phone left her gaping and speechless, but hearing it again straight from his lips just in front of her, sends her straight to the cloud nine.

Maya?  Aren't you going to say anything? Am I scaring you? Richard asked after Maya just fell silent.

Huh? No, uhmmm, I am okay... Maya then sighed and continued gulping her coffee, trying to hide her blushing face from Richard.  Richard on the other hand, is grinning widely.

The two spent another few minutes in silence, with Richard giving her teasing smiles and Maya just shaking her head chuckling; moments later they are laughing on their silliness.

When their laughter subsided, Richard speaks. Maya? May I ask a favor?

Huh? hmmm, okay. what is it?

Before answering, Richard stood up from his seat and walked towards her, took her hand and tugged her to stand.  Richard speaks again as he encircle his arms around her. Please let me hug you.

Maya smiles as Richard enclosed her in a hug, she raised her arms and clasped her hands at Richard's back.

I missed you so much.  Richard whispered lovingly.  You don't have any idea how sad I am when you cancelled the dinner the other day and told me that you have a flight out of the country.

Did you miss me too? Richard asked.  Maya shake her head, saying No, but the feel of her lips grinning against his chest makes Richard chuckle.  Really? Maya nods. Richard dramatically sigh. Ouch! You didn't miss me. Maya giggles as she tightens her arms around him as Richard drops a kiss on her forehead.  They both closed their eyes as they savor the happiness that is emanating from their heart and soul.

BCWMH Happy Ever After Glimpses: INSECURITIES AND ASSURANCES

BCWMH Happy Ever After Glimpses will be a one shot story (or stories).  this will be the world of my imagination on the continuation of our beloved daytime show.  i really can't get over them! really! hope those who are dropping by my blogsite will enjoy this as well. INSECURITIES AND ASSURANCES

After the working lunch meeting with the engineers, Richard left the conference room and went back to his office, with Minerva behind.

Minerva, i don't have any meetings this afternoon, right?

None, sir.

Okay, no phone calls as much as possible, i'll read the proposal of the Shibuya Air.

Copy sir, may kaylangan pa po kayo?

Wala na. You may go. Thank you.

Richard proceed to his chair, checking his phone.  There's only one message from his wife, 'just landed' with her signature smiley.  He sighed, "well maybe he is now enjoying late lunch with James".

Maya told him the night before that James will be the pilot of the inaugural flight of the new batch of her 'anaks' to Davao.  Apparently, James seems to have decided to stay for good in Manila, that's why he applied as instructor in LAI.  He's totally fine with Maya and James working together.  After all, he's now married to Maya, and his wife has not given him any reason to doubt her love for him.  He is just cool about it last night, but a pinch of jealousy and insecurity kicked in when he received a message from James that morning asking permission to have few minutes with Maya after their flight to catch up and make up to her for his absence during her birthday party.  He sincerely replied, No problem with me.

But he just feel a bit uneasy now, his possessive side taking over.  After musing for few more minutes, he sighed and brushed off his silliness.  He picked the Shibuya Air folder and started going through it.  He is halfway through the third page when Minerva knocked and entered his office.

Sir, there's a lady outside who wants to see you.  Minerva said seriously.

His forehead creased.  I thought I don't have anything scheduled this afternoon?

Yes sir.  The lady actually admitted that she didn't give advise to come here, but she's persistent and she said....

Minerva took a deep breath while Richard is looking at her, starting to get impatient.

...she said, baka raw po pwede nyang madaan sa ganda.  Minerva continued holding her breath.

Richard momentarily absorbed the information, then he shook his head chuckling.  With the grin on Minerva's face as a give away hint, he has a pretty good idea who the lady is.  He instructed Minerva to open the door slightly then instructed her loud enough to be heard just outside his office.

Let her in Minerva, let's see if pwede nga ang ganda nya.

Minerva called the lady.

A very poised lady, in light blue dress that reached her knee and wedged sandals, entered the office.

Good afternoon, Mr Lim.

Richard just smirk, stood up from his seat and crossed his arms on his chest.  He ran through his eyes on the "lady", then turned to his secretary.

Minerva, what do you think?  Pwede na ba ang ganda nya? He asked with raised eyebrows.

His secretary answered, Sir, i know very well that you should know by now the answer to that question.  Then continued, slightly covering her mouth and lowering her voice but loud enough to be heard, kung ayaw mong ma-outside the kulambo!

The room erupted into laughter, then Minerva excused herself, locking the door behind her to give privacy to her boss and the "lady".

Richard approached the "lady" who is now with her hand on the waist standing like in a beauty contest.

So, Mrs Lim, since nadaan mo naman sa ganda and now you have the privilege to see your handsome husband, don't i deserve a kiss? Richard asked smirking.

Maya laughed engulfing her husband into a hug and then showered his face with kisses which ended with a light kiss on the lips.  Richard pulled his wife to his chair and settled her to his lap.  Maya automatically put rest her right arm around his nape.

So, how was your date with Captain James?

Date?!?  Sweetheart? anong date?

Well, he sent me message this morning asking for some time with you? So i thought you two went on a date.

Sweetheart naman! Nag-usap lang kami palabas ng airport and going here.  Nag-offer sya na ihatid ako e.

Maya felt her husband stiffened for a second.  She shifted on her seat and cupped his face with both hands, then kissed both cheeks. 

Mr Lim, nagseselos ka pa rin ba kay Captain James?  Maya asked with a teasing grin.

Richard averted her gaze and tried to explain in a low voice.  No Sweetheart, well I just felt uneasy, thinking that you deserve...

Maya cut him by planting a lingering kiss on his lips.

Sweetheart, thank you and sorry.

Huh? Why are you thanking and saying sorry.  Hindi ba dapat ako ang mag-sorry?

Maya chuckled.  Sweetheart, nasabi ko na sa'yo dati di ba, masyado akong kinikilig kapag ganyan na nagseselos ka kahit hindi naman dapat, kaya thank you.  And sorry kasi baka nagiging insensitive na ako sa feelings mo, especially about my friendship with James.

No, Sweetheart, i don't have any issues naman with you and James... i just really can't help it to feel insecure sometimes.

Mr Lim?  Mr Richard Lim? Insecure?? 

Yes, Mrs Lim, i am an insecure person when it comes to you.

Awwww, sweetheart! Quota ka na ha.  Sobrang pagpapakilig na yan.  Maya said encircling both her arms on her husband's neck.

I love you.  Richard whispered.

I love you more.  Maya whispered back.

I love you more too.  Richard retorted.

Maya loosened her hug and kissed her husband, which Richard returned lovingly.

After few minutes of sharing sweet kisses, Maya stood up from her husband's lap.

Mr Lim, back to work now. She said grinning.

Are you leaving? Nagpasundo ka ba kay Joma?

Bakit sweetheart? Gusto mo na ako umalis? She playfully pouted with both hands on her waist.

Richard chuckled, reaching out both her hands on his.

Silly! I am just asking but it would be better if you'll stay here.  Richard said with a wink.

Well, Mr Lim, I really intend to stay here, sabay na lang tayo umuwi later.  Wala pa naman pasok ang mga bata so may kalaro ang kambal.  Maya answered pinching his nose.  At saka, naisip ko kasi na baka kaylangan mo ng inspiration so I will be honored to be one.

Maya gave Richard one last smack before walking away to pull one chair and get her laptop, then settled beside her husband, logging in on the forum of mothers-with-twins.  She has started reading few posts when she felt Richard just looking at her.

She amusedly looked at him.  Sweetheart, stop looking at me like that.  I am staying here as an inspiration no t a distraction so Mr Lim, go back to work now.

Richard chuckled, pulled Maya's chair closer to him, gave her a kiss on the cheek, then went back reading the proposal of the Shibuya Air.  Maya just smiled and focused on her laptop screen.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year po!!!! As always, thankie much for those who are dropping by.   Please tell me if I used BLAG in exaggeration. hehehe. :) :) :)  I am very sorry if this update is a bit lame... babawi na lang po ako. :D

CHAPTER 13

BLAG!

Richard and Liza quickly turned their attention towards the sound.  Liza rushed towards the door with Richard just behind her.  The door is slightly open and they found on the floor by the door a box of cake from a popular bakeshop inside the airport.  The two looked at each other both thinking the same thing.  Richard got his phone and dial a number.

Feeling weak from too much crying, Maya sat silently at the last pew of the church.  She ended up stopping the taxi on the first church that she passed by.

Richard Lim. Roberto Lim. Dad...

He is the son of the person who caused the death of my father!

Tears started to run down her cheeks again.  She felt betrayed and heartbroken; she's angry and disappointed.  She's feeling too much emotions; the memory of the death of his father came flashing back on her mind.  The things that she has succeeded to lock out of her consciousness are like fresh wounds that will never heal.

Liza? What did Emman say?

Liza sighed before answering.  We guessed it right. Emman just arrived in their condo...alone.  Nagpaiwan si Maya to drop by a cake for Abby here.

Richard slumped his shoulder and weakly sat on his chair, massaging his temple in frustration and regret.  He has been trying to call her and has sent messages, but it seemed that she turned off her phone.

I guess, I should have listened to you, I should have explained to Maya everything from the start. I am just hoping that I can still fix this.  Richard said desperately.

Maya has been crying and wallowing on what have happened years ago, when Richard's voice from that morning reverbrated on her mind  ...Dad will be thrilled.  I found Atty. dela Rosa's family.  She quickly straightened up on her seat and dig for her phone from her bag.  She got so emotional when she left the LAS office that her mom's safety slipped her mind.  As her phone turns on, messages came - all came from Richard.  She just ignored them and press her mother's number.

For the nth time, Richard dialed her number again, he got a little hope when he heard a busy tone.  He waited for a few minutes, he was about to press the redial button of his phone when an incoming call flashed on the screen.

After the call...

Liza, please cancel my flight.

Okay. I think it's a better idea, hanapin mo muna si Maya to explain things.

No Liza, i will still go to San Nicolas, but i can no longer wait for my flight.  Please call Captain Villanueva, i will take the chopper.

Ok. Great. I will arrange it now.  Liza  answered with a smile.

Thanks.  I hope Maya will give me a chance.  Richard sighed but hopeful.

Ms Maya! Kumusta po?  Ang tagal ko na po kayo hindi napasyal dito ah.

Medyo busy lang po, Manong Jerry.  Maya tried her best to answer cheerfully to one of the loyal guards in the university when he greeted her by the entrance.

Teka, bakit po pala kayo nandito?

Surprise ko po sana si Mommy.

Naku Ms Maya, nakaalis na po si Dean...  mga isang oras na po.  The kind guard said after checking his watch.

Maya furrowed her brows, puzzled.  Pero mag-alas tres pa lang po ah.

May bisita po yata kayo, may sumundo po kasi sa kanya na lalaki.  Magkasama po silang umalis.

Lalaki?  Maya suddenly felt nervous.  Professor po dito? She managed to ask.

Hindi po professor, hindi ko po kilala, baka po taga-Maynila, kanina ko lang po sya nakita dito e.

Ganun po ba? Sige, mauna na po ako... baka nasa bahay na si Mommy.

Sige po, Ms Maya. Ingat po.

Maya quickly left the university, scared and overly worried on her mother's safety.  She is holding back her tears, thinking of worst thing to happen.  She has lost his father and she is determined to do her best to save her mother.

Richard Lim! As much as she wanted to justify that Richard won't do such things, what she heard that morning are enough to doubt the Richard Lim that she met and had been with her in the past few weeks.

As soon as Maya stepped inside their gate, she saw Richard on the phone, walking back and forth in their garden.

Just as she was about to approach him, her mom with Sabel behind her emerged from their front door carrying tray of food.  From the looks of the situation, it seems that things are okay.

She stay rooted on her place, confused on what she is seeing.  Seeing her mom safe and seems happy, she started to relax a bit.  With all the emotional turmoil she has experienced since morning and the exhaustion from her flight, fatigue started to sink in and the last thing she remember is hearing Sabel screaming her name and strong arms encircling her body before everything turns black.

BCWMH Fanfic: It's You From The Start 12

CHAPTER 12


Mommy! We just landed po.

Anak, how was your flight? Did you enjoy?  Mommy Tessie said on the other line.

Yes! Emman and I did not waste po the opportunity, we roam around the city. Maya giddily answered.

Wow, that's great... so i am assuming you are doing great, hindi ka ba nagkasakit? because of change of weather or something?  How about the food?

Hindi naman po... Maya paused.  I missed you mommy. How was everything there?

I missed you too, Anak.  We are doing fine here.  We just had our foundation day yesterday in the university. It was fun.

Awww, hindi na naman po ako naka-attend ng foundation day.

Her mother chuckled on the other line.  Ikaw talaga, may next year pa naman, at saka next, next year pa.  or wait, why don't you go home for few days... and go with me sa university just like before.  Mommy Tessie tentatively suggested remembering the call she received the day before.

Hmmm, you really missed me Mom. But that's a great idea. I will just arrange my schedule and i will let you know.

As soon as Maya ended the call with her mom, her cp alerted her for an incoming message.

Good am, Mommy Maya.  Are you back na po? Daddy said you'll be back by now.  Yung dinner po, can we have it na later?

Maya smiled.

Ay sus, ang smile oh... si prince charming Richard na ba yan? Excited to see the love of his life again?

Emman who just also ended a call with her mom, approached and teased her seeing her smile.

Maya blushed remembering how Richard told her, "I love you" before she left, which she suddenly feels like a year ago.  She suddenly felt the longing again and at the same time excited that she's back and might see him again in few hours.

Ikaw talaga Emman, si Abby 'tong nagtext.  She's asking if we're back and asking about the dinner.

Emman chuckled.  Para-paraan din itong si Mr Lim, si Abby pa ang pinag-text? Emman continues teasing her.

Maya just rolled her eyes on her friend and decided to call the Lim residence, as Emman and her walked towards the arrival area.

Hello, Manang Fe?

Good morning po.  Si Abby po, pwede ko po ba sya makausap?

Mommy Maya! Did you receive po my message? Abby's excited little voice was heard on the other line few seconds later.

Hi baby! Yes, kaya nga ako tumawag.  How are you?

I am fine po, I am just waiting for teacher Me-Ann for our class today.

Wow, that's good.  Your dad mentioned to me last week nga about your classes, how was it?

Okay naman po.  MommyMaya, yung dinner po natin, pwede na po later?

Ha? Well, it's just okay with me, but maybe you should ask your dad first.

Okay po, i will text him and then tell him to call you agad about our dinner.

Text him? Is your dad not home?

He left early daw po sabi ni Manang Fe.

Ha? Saan daw nagpunta?  Airport?

Maya glanced at Emman, who stopped walking and seemed to be overly kilig.  She just ignored him, trying to hide her own kilig.

O sige Abby, basta let's ask muna you daddy ha. See you soon.

Maya softly laughed seeing Emman trying to suppress shrieking sa sobrang kilig, he is trying to scream with poise since they are still in their uniform and might invite attention from the people around them.

Girl, baka susunduin ka?  Maya blushed hearing from Emman what she also thought when Abby said that Richard left early to go to the airport.  She felt giddy and excited on the thought of seeing Richard again after two days with no communication.

Chard, what is your plan?

Maya is flying back to Manila today, that is if she and Emman will take the earliest flight.  I am planning to see her first after my meeting, then I am flying to Mindoro to meet her mom.

Richard gets his phone from his pocket when it alerted a message tone, then he smiled.

Liza chuckled seeing him smile.  So, I guess she's back!

It's Richard's turn to chuckle.  It's Abby.

Hi baby?

Really she called you?

No baby, I haven't talked to her.  Daddy has a meeting but I promise to call her about our dinner. Tonight?

Richard glanced at Liza, who nods her head and mouthed 'late dinner'.

Okay, baby.  But we still need to ask her, maybe she's tired from her trip.

Bye Baby.

So? Liza eagerly prompted as soon as Richard put down the phone.

Richard shook his head. Do you really need to ask? You already heard all of it. Richard answered with a smirk.

Liza rolled her eyes.  Well, you'll be back here in Manila by 7pm, so you can just ask the driver to bring Maya and Abby in the restaurant here around the area so you'll save time.

Why don't you call Maya first, ask her about the dinner and well, I know that you're really dying to hear her voice now.  Liza said teasingly.

Abby said Maya is okay with the dinner later and just ask me if it's okay with me. Richard said full of smiles.

Yun naman pala eh.  I will look na for a restaurant and book a table for three.  Liza sighed giddily.  This is really exciting, this will be the first time you'll see each other after you said 'I love you' to her.  Then she continued pouting.  Isn't it possible to get Abby out of the scene muna later, para naman makapag-usap kayo ni Maya ng maayos?

Richard sighed and turned a bit serious.  I guess it's actually better if Abby will be with us, you know that I mean it when I said I love her, but I am so stupid to just blurted it out because of frustration kasi hindi ko sya makikita for days.  You know that I am avoiding for her to feel awkward around me, I want to maintain what we have, and maybe to have more than that especially now that I can talk to her mom na.

Liza smiled then said. Okay, so let's get going. I will just let you know the details of your dinner later.  Go call your Maya.  As Liza was about to get out the door, Richard's phone rang and she heard him called her.  She went back to the seat in front of his table as Richard stood up to answer the call.

Mrs dela Rosa?  Good morning po.  Liza gaped, and can hear through his voice the nervousness of his face.

Liza sighed in relief when she heard Richard loosened up and uttered, "Mommy Tessie".

After a while, Richard said goodbye to Maya's mom.

Things are turning better? Liza asked as she stood up.

Yap, she's still the same loving mom that I met before. Richard answered as he dreamily sat back on his chair.

That's great! Liza said happily leaning to Richard to give him a pat on his shoulder.  I am really happy, Chard.  After all these years, you have found Maya and her mom.  I am sure matutuwa si Tito Roberto kapag nalaman nya.

Yes Liza, I am sure Dad will be thrilled.  Finally, I found Atty. Arturo dela Rosa's family.  This calls for a celeb...

Salamat, Be Careful With My Heart!

this may be a bit OA for some, but i really can't help but feel emptiness,,, i wanted to cry for some reason,,, i am surfing the net about them since morning,,, i took a leave from work because i really felt not so well,,, i am badly missing BCWMH,,, nothing prepared me for this,,, yes, they announced it months before,,, but i guess i really didn't have the courage to let go,,, as many says, BCWMH is not just like a tv show for me, it became a part of my life since it started,,, whenever things get tough, i comfort myself saying, "no worries, just  watch the BCWMH episode later when you got home, things will be better",,, and now that they have ended,,, i really have difficulty moving on,,, well, of course in know, time will help me move on, but i guess it will really take a while...

THANK YOU, Be Careful With My Heart for the more than two years of inspiration, lessons about life and love, feel good episodes, kilig... THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to all the cast, crew, production staff, management and all people involved,,, THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving us a great show...

Chapter 11

Maya? Maya! It's really you!

Maya and Emman are roaming the HKIA waiting for their flight back to Manila when someone called her.  The two stopped walking and looked back to a lady all smiles approaching them.

Hi Maya! Great to see you here! Giving Maya a hug.

Alex! Hi.  Maya returned the hug.

What are you doing here?  Oh by the way, this is my co-FA and a very good friend, Emman.  Emman, this is Alex.

Emman offered his hand for a handshake, and quickly gave a glance and a knowing smile to Maya.

Hi Emman, nice to meet you.

Same here! Emman answered on his falsetto voice.

Alex softly laughed at Emman's answer.

I am actually waiting for my connecting flight to London, my superior asked me to report back immediately.  I supposed to ask Richard to set a dinner or lunch with you but we seemed not to find a common time.

Ladies, why don't you catch up for few minutes while I look around for something to give my mom.

Oh Emman, thank you. I will borrow Maya for a while, I just need to say something to her.  Alex said winking to Maya.

Maya just sigh with the two agreeing just like that.

Richard is lucky to finally found you, he has been very different back then, but now I can see how he happy he is.  He mentioned to me that he has already told you this but I just want to also say this myself, Richard and I are just good friends, nothing more.  We dated before, well it is actually more of me convincing him to try dating me but there was really  no spark, hahaha.  Maya, you may not say it but I can feel that he is special to you, just promise me that you will not doubt Richard's love for you.  Soon, things will be clearer, just hold on.

Girl! Maya! Ms Dela Rosa!!!!

Ha? O, Emman, may sinasabi ka ba?

Emman sighed.  Ms dela Rosa, 5 minutes na lang briefing na natin, kanina pa ako tanong ng tanong dito which of which ang bibigay ko kay mommy, tulaley naman ang peg mo!!!

Sorry Emman, may iniisip  lang.

Did that Alex said something kaya ka ganyan?  I thought she's not part of the equation??

Hindi nga Emman, and just like what Richard told me before, she also said that they tried dating but that's it, nothing more.

Yun naman pala e. Emman answered rolling his eyes.  Eh, what's the problem my dear, at ganyan ang aura mo?

She told me not to doubt Richard's love.  I just find it weird, chill lang naman yung sa amin ni Richard, yes he said he likes me, we are together most of the time pero we are taking it slow pa lang naman.  So parang out of line lang yung sinabi nya.

Emman just looked at her thinking what to say.

Di ba you will have dinner with Richard and Abby later? Why don't you tell Richard about you meeting Alex here and asked him why she said that.

What? Ayoko nga.. Nakakahiya! Maya frantically answered.

Emman laughed.  Calm down, girl.  I am just offering a solution para hindi ka na isip ng isip dyan.

Hay naku, puro ka kalokohan. Come on, let's go na nga.  Maya said standing from her seat and pulling Emman with her.

Ano pa sinabi ni Alex, girl?  Emman said teasing Maya.

Maya just answered him with a laugh.  Tigilan mo na ako, we'll be late na.

Maya was back in Manila by around 3pm, she and Emman are in a hurry heading out of the arrival area.  She planned to go home to the condo with Emman to freshen up, Richard and her agreed that he, with Abby, will fetch her at 6pm for their dinner.  The two are waiting for their service van when Emman's phone rings.

Yes, Ms. Calandra, we are waiting po for the service van... Yes, she's with me po... Okay, I will ask her po... Okay, Maám.

Ano yun Emman? Ano sabi ni Ms Calandra?

Girl, I think you need to postpone your dinner with your prince charming. Emman dramatically said.

Huh? Why? Maya is puzzled.

Ms Calandra badly needs three FAs, she is still looking for another one.  Peak season tayo ngayon and may delayed incoming flights... You can choose if you want to take the flight to Vancouver in an hour, they need one FA, or we can both take the Sydney flight leaving at 1815hr.

Sige, dun na lang sa Sydney para magkasama tayo, and we can still take a quick trip to the condo to change and get new set of uniform.

Okay, I will call Ms Calandra.

While Emman's on the phone with Ms Calandra, Maya decided to call Richard but his phone is out of reach so she called Abby instead.

Hello Richard, sorry, i have to cancel the dinner, but I called Abby na kanina to explain.  Babawi na lang ako pagbalik ko.

No worries Maya.  Have a safe flight.  Wait, can I still see you before you leave?

Emman and I are on our way back to the airport now, my flight is at around 6 o'clock.

Richard sighed on the other line.  I guess I'll see you when you return, I am now here at the airport but I will have a meeting in few minutes.  When are you coming back?

It depends, Emman and I may take the first flight back to Manila since this is not really our assigned flight, I am not so sure, I will just call you.

Meaning... I may not be seeing you until the day after tomorrow? Richard softly answered.  He suddenly felt so sad, he sort of used to see her almost everyday, if not, they will be on the phone for hours.  Knowing that she'll be out of the country for few days gave him a sullen feeling.

There was an awkward silence.  Maya felt Richard's change of tone, she too felt a sudden longing.  After sometime, Maya heard Richard speak on the other line.

I will miss you.

Same here. Maya let her heart speak.

Bye Richard, got to go.

Maya?

Yes?

Have a safe flight... I will see you as soon as you return. I love you.

Maya silently gasped hearing those three words, she slowly moved her phone down from her ear not sure what to do.

On the other hand, Liza who just entered Richard's office to call him for the meeting, has to cover her mouth in surprise, catching  the last line that the man in front of her just said on the phone.

She doesn't have to ask who's on the other line.
