BCWMH Happy Ever After Glimpses: MOTHERS' DAY

Happy Mother's day to all moms out there! This is my 2nd BCWMH Happy Ever After post. Hope you'll like this.

MOTHERS'  DAY

Maya moved to her side and her hands dropped on what seems like a rough surface, she started to be more conscious from her sleep and slowly opened her eyes to see the thing beside her, which or who supposed to be her husband.  Her eyes fluttered open and tried to comprehend what is lying beside her.  A smile crept to her lips and her heart skip a beat when she realized that a bouquet of sunflower wrapped in a thin abaca tied with a yellow and blue ribbon is beside her.  On top of it lies a DIY card that says "Happy Mother's Day, Gorgeous Mom!".  Maya get up and lean her back against the bed rest, bringing the flower and the card with her.  When she flipped it open, it was decorated with small trinkets and beads, the left side contains the messages of her kids:

Dear My,

Happy Mother's day. You are simply the best! I love you and thank you for everything!

Dearest Mommykins,

I just want to say, thank you, thank you, and thank you so so much for all the things you have done for us, for me.  Thanks for making time for our girl talks. (I will just to talk to you in person about other things, since Dad will definitely read this, he is so madaya, he requested to write here in the card last! Peace Daddykins! hehe) Anyway, Mommykins, I love you so much, and I am truly grateful that you came to our lives.  Thanks for being a very cool mom to us! I love you, I love you. Mwaaaah! Happy Mother's day, Mommykins!

Reading the messages of the her three older kids warmed Maya's heart and she, of course, was not able to stop her tears to run down her cheeks.  Then beside the three messages, written vertically are the names of Sky and Sunshine, written in crook lines, she can't help but chuckle tracing the names of their twin little angels.

On the right portion of the card, contains the message of her husband:


Dearest Sweetheart,

Would you like to drink a glass of water first? I am sure you're crying by now after reading the kids'messages. :D :D

Sweetheart, thank you so much for being the best mom that you are to Luke, Nikki, and Abby.  Thank you for showering them and sharing with them your love.  Thank you for being the very patient mom to our twins, for all the sleepless nights that you have endured and adjusting your work for them, for us.  Thank you for giving us your very selfless love, taking care of us, and putting us on top of  your priorities. Thank you for always being there for all of us.  Thank you for putting up with my moods, thank you for understanding me, and thank you for being with me to raise this family.  I really thank God for sending you to us.  I love you so much Sweetheart, you are indeed a superMom.  Happy Mother's Day, my Mrs. Chief!

Maya closed the card and pressed a kiss on it sniffing, trying to control her tears, overwhelmed by the love her family is giving her.  She suddenly thought of someone, and instantaneously thought of a plan. She quickly fixed herself, put on her robe and clutching the flowers and the card on her chest went out of the room.  As soon as she stepped out of the room, she was greeted by a chorus of "Good morning, Mommy!  Happy Mother's Day!"  The older kids each gave her a kiss and hug, next is Sky, who gave her a pouty kiss,  carried by Luke, Sunshine who is on the arms of her dad, followed to give her a sounding kiss on the cheek.

Happy Mother's Day, Sweetheart!  Richard greeted her again, before pressing his lips unto her and whispered I love you.

Thank you Sweetheart, I love you too.  Maya replied gazing lovingly to her husband.

The couple then followed the kids to the dining area, where a sumptuous breakfast is prepared by the kids with the help of Doris and Sabel.  A round cake with greetings also sit at the center of the table. Sabel and Doris also greeted her a happy mother's day.

When they are all settled at the dining table, Maya thanked her husband and the kids for their surprise and making her day so special.

Thank you din na pinaiyak nyo ako.  Maya quipped, which makes her family laughed.  Her heart swelled having this kind of family, living comfortably and simple and very happy.  Everyone started digging for the food, while the twins are also enjoying at the sidelines.  Everyone enjoyed breakfast, bantering and laughing together.

So, guys, where do you want to go after we hear mass this morning? Wait, let's ask your Mom, since it's her special day, Mommy?  Richard asked.

I agree! My, it's your call! you decide!  Luke said.

Oh-My-Gee!  Mom, why don't we go to the spa? Nikki suggested.

Wow, Niks! Hindi obvious na pabor sa'yo ang suggestion mo.  Luke teased, while the couple both chuckle.

Kuya, Ate, Mommy's the boss di ba?  Mommy, what do you suggest?  Abby chipped in.

Ha... Kayo talaga, yung surprise nyo more than enough na.  Sobra na yung treat nyo tapos may special breakfast pa.  Kahit saan basta makakapag-enjoy tayo lahat... pero after the mass and before that... Maya paused and looked to each and everyone, then hold on to Richard's hand as she looked at him.

The three kids and Richard waited for what she's to say...

Maya smiled and looked back to the kids, while still holding her husband's hand, then she continues, ...since it's Mother's day I am thinking after mass, if we can visit your Mommy Alex.  Maya said pressing Richard's hand.  Maya looked at the three carefully who kept quiet a while, while she felt Richard adjust his hold to intertwine their fingers.

Luke gave him a grateful smile.  No problem po, Thank you My for doing this.  Then he stood to give her a hug.

Oh Mommy! Thank you.  Nikki said then the two girls, who are both teary eyed, followed their kuya.  The twins just watched them and giggles, seeing them hug.  Doris and Sabel, who are watching at the side was also got teary eyed.

Richard let go of her hand,  and settled his hand at her upper back gently stroking it as she hug the kids.  He just stared at her, mesmerized at the woman in front of her who has never fail to amaze him of the extent of her genuine love for the family.

The kids then excuse themselves to prepare for the mass; while Doris and Sabel carried Sky and Sunshine to their room.

Maya followed the kids and the twins with her eyes, while Richard just continue gazing at her.  When Maya turned to her husband, Richard gave her a peck on the lips and gently engulfed her in a hug.

Sweetheart, I don't know what to say, but really, thank you for doing this... I really don't know what I did to be rewarded of a woman like you, to have you as my wife and the mother of my children... Richard said, admiration and gratefulness evident on his eyes as he looked at her wife, arms still around his wife.

You are welcome, Sweetheart.  I also want to thank kasi Alex for being their mom.  Kung ano man si Luke, Nikki and Abby now, malaking parte din dun si Alex.  So, sweetheart, hindi mo kaylangan mag-thank you sa akin.  I love you and also ang mga bata.  Maya said caressing her husband's face.


After the mass, the family dropped by a flower shop then proceed to visit Alex. Luke and Nikki carried the twins, walking ahead of the couple.  Richard is carrying the flowers on his left with her right arm around his wife's shoulder, Maya's left arm in return is wrapped on Richard's waist, while her free hand is holding Abby's.

Luke and Nikki are introducing their Mom to the twins when Abby and the couple entered the mausoleum.

Sky, Sunshine, say hello to Mommy Alex.  Nikki prodded the twins.

Sunshine smiles and waved, while Sky said, 'low 'amy 'lex!

The couple looked at each other smiling.  Luke got the flowers from his dad, Abby joined her siblings, arranging the flowers, while Sky and Sunshine are enjoying around.  After a while, Richard and Maya carried the twins and together with the kids offered a silent prayer.

Before they boarded the car, minutes later, the kids thanked her again and gave her a hug.  Richard did the same and reverently gave her a kiss on the forehead and a peck on the lips and said 'thank you' before he assisted his wife on the passenger seat.  Maya, on the other hand, looked at Alex's mausoleum, and uttered a silent 'thank you' again for the family that she now have.

BCWMH Happy Ever After Glimpses will be a one shot story (or stories).  this will be the world of my imagination on the continuation of our beloved daytime show.  i really can't get over them! really! hope those who are dropping by my blogsite will enjoy this as well. INSECURITIES AND ASSURANCES

After the working lunch meeting with the engineers, Richard left the conference room and went back to his office, with Minerva behind.

Minerva, i don't have any meetings this afternoon, right?

None, sir.

Okay, no phone calls as much as possible, i'll read the proposal of the Shibuya Air.

Copy sir, may kaylangan pa po kayo?

Wala na. You may go. Thank you.

Richard proceed to his chair, checking his phone.  There's only one message from his wife, 'just landed' with her signature smiley.  He sighed, "well maybe he is now enjoying late lunch with James".

Maya told him the night before that James will be the pilot of the inaugural flight of the new batch of her 'anaks' to Davao.  Apparently, James seems to have decided to stay for good in Manila, that's why he applied as instructor in LAI.  He's totally fine with Maya and James working together.  After all, he's now married to Maya, and his wife has not given him any reason to doubt her love for him.  He is just cool about it last night, but a pinch of jealousy and insecurity kicked in when he received a message from James that morning asking permission to have few minutes with Maya after their flight to catch up and make up to her for his absence during her birthday party.  He sincerely replied, No problem with me.

But he just feel a bit uneasy now, his possessive side taking over.  After musing for few more minutes, he sighed and brushed off his silliness.  He picked the Shibuya Air folder and started going through it.  He is halfway through the third page when Minerva knocked and entered his office.

Sir, there's a lady outside who wants to see you.  Minerva said seriously.

His forehead creased.  I thought I don't have anything scheduled this afternoon?

Yes sir.  The lady actually admitted that she didn't give advise to come here, but she's persistent and she said....

Minerva took a deep breath while Richard is looking at her, starting to get impatient.

...she said, baka raw po pwede nyang madaan sa ganda.  Minerva continued holding her breath.

Richard momentarily absorbed the information, then he shook his head chuckling.  With the grin on Minerva's face as a give away hint, he has a pretty good idea who the lady is.  He instructed Minerva to open the door slightly then instructed her loud enough to be heard just outside his office.

Let her in Minerva, let's see if pwede nga ang ganda nya.

Minerva called the lady.

A very poised lady, in light blue dress that reached her knee and wedged sandals, entered the office.

Good afternoon, Mr Lim.

Richard just smirk, stood up from his seat and crossed his arms on his chest.  He ran through his eyes on the "lady", then turned to his secretary.

Minerva, what do you think?  Pwede na ba ang ganda nya? He asked with raised eyebrows.

His secretary answered, Sir, i know very well that you should know by now the answer to that question.  Then continued, slightly covering her mouth and lowering her voice but loud enough to be heard, kung ayaw mong ma-outside the kulambo!

The room erupted into laughter, then Minerva excused herself, locking the door behind her to give privacy to her boss and the "lady".

Richard approached the "lady" who is now with her hand on the waist standing like in a beauty contest.

So, Mrs Lim, since nadaan mo naman sa ganda and now you have the privilege to see your handsome husband, don't i deserve a kiss? Richard asked smirking.

Maya laughed engulfing her husband into a hug and then showered his face with kisses which ended with a light kiss on the lips.  Richard pulled his wife to his chair and settled her to his lap.  Maya automatically put rest her right arm around his nape.

So, how was your date with Captain James?

Date?!?  Sweetheart? anong date?

Well, he sent me message this morning asking for some time with you? So i thought you two went on a date.

Sweetheart naman! Nag-usap lang kami palabas ng airport and going here.  Nag-offer sya na ihatid ako e.

Maya felt her husband stiffened for a second.  She shifted on her seat and cupped his face with both hands, then kissed both cheeks. 

Mr Lim, nagseselos ka pa rin ba kay Captain James?  Maya asked with a teasing grin.

Richard averted her gaze and tried to explain in a low voice.  No Sweetheart, well I just felt uneasy, thinking that you deserve...

Maya cut him by planting a lingering kiss on his lips.

Sweetheart, thank you and sorry.

Huh? Why are you thanking and saying sorry.  Hindi ba dapat ako ang mag-sorry?

Maya chuckled.  Sweetheart, nasabi ko na sa'yo dati di ba, masyado akong kinikilig kapag ganyan na nagseselos ka kahit hindi naman dapat, kaya thank you.  And sorry kasi baka nagiging insensitive na ako sa feelings mo, especially about my friendship with James.

No, Sweetheart, i don't have any issues naman with you and James... i just really can't help it to feel insecure sometimes.

Mr Lim?  Mr Richard Lim? Insecure?? 

Yes, Mrs Lim, i am an insecure person when it comes to you.

Awwww, sweetheart! Quota ka na ha.  Sobrang pagpapakilig na yan.  Maya said encircling both her arms on her husband's neck.

I love you.  Richard whispered.

I love you more.  Maya whispered back.

I love you more too.  Richard retorted.

Maya loosened her hug and kissed her husband, which Richard returned lovingly.

After few minutes of sharing sweet kisses, Maya stood up from her husband's lap.

Mr Lim, back to work now. She said grinning.

Are you leaving? Nagpasundo ka ba kay Joma?

Bakit sweetheart? Gusto mo na ako umalis? She playfully pouted with both hands on her waist.

Richard chuckled, reaching out both her hands on his.

Silly! I am just asking but it would be better if you'll stay here.  Richard said with a wink.

Well, Mr Lim, I really intend to stay here, sabay na lang tayo umuwi later.  Wala pa naman pasok ang mga bata so may kalaro ang kambal.  Maya answered pinching his nose.  At saka, naisip ko kasi na baka kaylangan mo ng inspiration so I will be honored to be one.

Maya gave Richard one last smack before walking away to pull one chair and get her laptop, then settled beside her husband, logging in on the forum of mothers-with-twins.  She has started reading few posts when she felt Richard just looking at her.

She amusedly looked at him.  Sweetheart, stop looking at me like that.  I am staying here as an inspiration no t a distraction so Mr Lim, go back to work now.

Richard chuckled, pulled Maya's chair closer to him, gave her a kiss on the cheek, then went back reading the proposal of the Shibuya Air.  Maya just smiled and focused on her laptop screen.
